What next?

WaterSums is still under energetic development. WaterSums 1.1 was released on July 16, 2009 and added support for the Microsoft Silverlight 2 plugin as a map display engine. The WaterSums 1.1 series of releases is expected to significantly expand the facilities available in WaterSums in the following areas:

• Project configuration
• Display of the results of simulations
• Printed output
• Data integrity checking
• Ease of editing
• Exporting of results
• Transient flow analysis

WaterSums software is built on a foundation of incremental development. Frequent updates are expected and WaterSums software looks for updates on this website every time it starts - if you have an internet connection available. If an update is found, you are offered the opportunity to upgrade or to refuse the upgrade.

WaterSums 1.0 went through 13 incremental releases in 15 months and WaterSums 1.1 is expected to continue this release pattern. WaterSums 1.2 will be released in mid-2010 (God willing).
